Best ever non-slip, wear anywhere water shoe.

Intended Use: Watersports, Traveling, Rock Scrambling

The Brewess is a technical water shoe designed from the perspective of a Class-V whitewater kayaker, but there’s a huge difference in this shoe and every other water shoe or bootie on the market – you won’t look like a clown if you wear this shoe off the water.

The Astral Brewess 2.0 Water Shoe is designed for rafting trips and light hiking, and provide a warm-weather alternative to women who prefer closed-toe protection and support compared to sandals.

The G.15 premium sole is super sticky and made with a softer rubber that easily contours to varied terrain and provides reliable traction on wet surfaces.

  • Water-friendly sneaker for paddle enthusiasts
  • Hydrophobic canvas provides rugged material for long-lasting use
  • Mesh paneling enhances breathability for a comfortable wear
  • Technical EVA midsole provides medium arch and leveled foot bed
  • Performance rubber sole gives you excellent traction on wet surfaces
  • Water-resistant laces remain light and dry when exposed to water

Using Astral's Balanced Geometry design, the EVA midsole gives you medium arch support and a leveled heel-to-ball foot bed.

THE STEP DOWN HEEL IS A USEFUL FEATURE:

No, you are not breaking your shoes when you crush the heel, and wear them like a slipper. This is the intended use.

The convertible heel is super useful. It was created for putting dry suits on in parking lots and other gravel surfaces. Once you get your feet inside of your suit (and have GORE TEX booties in particular), you can easily slip on the Brewers instead of standing directly on rock and debris. This will extend the life of your dry suit booties.

All Astral Designs footware have a special relationship with water.

WHAT’S MY SIZE IN ASTRAL SHOES?

Astral shoes tend to fit true to size when worn barefoot or with a thin sock. In general, you may want to consider going up 1/2 size to accommodate dry suit booties or a thick sock. Our shoes are designed to be narrow in the heel and mid foot, with a wide toe box. This allows the shoe to be low profile, but leaves room for your foot to spread out when carrying weight (a kayak). We consider any foot greater than E as possibly too wide for our shoes, however they do stretch out a bit after breaking them in.
