On Water Safety and Rescue Training
Whether you are a trained River Guide commercially rafting your way around the globe of a weekend kayaker you can never be prepared enough for the unexpected. Big Water recommends to any one who is spending any time on the water to be adequately trained in rescues and to practise those rescue techniques as often as possible. Having the right equipment is just the beginning.
A close affiliate of Big Water is The Rescue Training Group. The Rescue Training Group currently delivers a range of training courses in Swiftwater Rescue and Rope Rescue. These courses are aligned with the world renowned Rescue 3 International training courses. These courses were previously taught under the banner of Rescue 3 Australia. Rescue Training Group is the registered agent for Rescue 3 International in Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia. Rope/Vertical Rescue and Swiftwater Rescue in Australia are taught year round. Swiftwater Rescue in Australia is conducted in a diverse range of locations from the tropical rivers of North Queensland to N.S.W., Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia.
